What?!! There's a registration fee for jobseekers?!?

Yes there is. So how come I did not tell you sooner? Well, simply because you wouldn't listen/read the concept first. Correct?

I know most of you were a bit turned off upon knowing there's a fee, but could you spare me a few paragraphs to explain?

Can?

Can!

Ok. Here's the thing. Why are we charging a membership fee when all the others are giving it to jobseekers free of charge? Because we're different. We're different in the sense that we let you literally advertise yourself and make yourself be seen.

As I mentioned time and again in the earlier posts of this blog, ours is the only website that does not sell your resumes to employers. We give employers FREE unlimited access to your profiles instead of charging them thousands of dollars to search for candidates. We attract them with this cost-effective feature, because getting more employers is the only way we can help make more possibilities for you. In our database, we do not use your profiles to make money, which is why we ask from you a small contribution that will make the big idea possible.

The membership fee is your contribution in making it possible for all of us to open doors to worldwide recruitment, global appointment and borderless employment. With your contribution, aside from making yourself seen by thousands of employers around the world, you also help others get their chance for better opportunities, because your contribution maintains this revolutionary portal.

Imagine the multitude of people that would benefit with your contribution. Thousands from around the globe, because really, all of us aim to broaden our horizons (especially in these trying times).

Think of it this way; instead of spending thousands, even hundreds of thousands of money to look or get a job (especially for those who plan to relocate), now, you don't have to risk spending your entire savings. You just have to shell out S$5 (SINGAPORE DOLLAR FIVE) to advertise yourself and increase your chances of getting your dream job. Don't consider the membership fee as money spent. It's an investment(and a very small investment at that) for a brighter future for your career.

So invest for your future now, and show employers that you're one of the few who are willing to do something to get bigger and better opportunities. That you take charge of your career. But before you start computing, here's better news. We have a launch promo running until 30 April 2009.

From our launch date (18 March 2009) until the end of April, you can sign-up and register for just S$1 (SINGAPORE DOLLAR ONE). Grab this opportunity and be one of the first members of Jobs Global Centre!

Now, is everything clearer? Sure hope it is.

Ok, don't drop me a line asking if I can guarantee you a job, now. I mean seriously, you think we can buy an employer's decision with your S$5?

It's hip to be fair

We created this project with two types of user's in mind; jobseekers and employers. We aim to be the first, fully liberalised, pro-employment job search site. And so, aside from helping jobseekers maximise their presence in the global employment market, we also help employers maximise their resources.

The objective is to be fair. To be fair for employers when it comes to recruitment and help them drastically reduce their recruitment costs.

Why should we be fair for employers, and how do we reduce their recruitment costs?

Since time immemorial, employers have been solely initiating the recruitment process. Whenever they need to look for new staff/personnel, they initiate job postings, contact agents, work with talent handlers, hunters, etc. This leads to them incurring huge recruitment costs. With this site, we give them a fair deal by making jobseekers equally involved in the entire process.

As mentioned in the earlier post, we openly showcase jobseeker profiles. Unlike other job search sites, our project does not hide essential information about jobseekers (i.e., contact information) so that employers can directly communicate with potential candidates they deem fit for the posts they have available.

We are the only website who does this. We do not sell jobseeker profiles per piece/batch to employers. Employers get FREE UNLIMITED ACCESS to our Jobseeker profile database once they register as members.

This database searching usually cost employers more than a couple of thousand dollars, but with our innovative site, since jobseekers are already advertising themselves, they do not have to pay any amount just to browse through some of your resumes. In this site, jobseekers can literally be seen by any employer who key in qualifications that match theirs.

Our project also offers employers the ability to D.I.Y. their recruitment needs. They can post their advertisements anytime, without having to contact any point person, as we provide a user-friendly interface they can manipulate to customise their ads. If they need to post an ad first thing Monday morning, they can do it even late Sunday night (in case they forgot to have it posted before the weekend or has just made the decision to post an ad at the last minute).

They also get the best deals as ad postings start at a token of S$1 (SINGAPORE DOLLAR ONE) only. This is the lowest advertising rate they can avail of in any classifieds page today (in all mediums available.

Plus, they don't have to worry about agent and commission fees in their recruitment with this site. And for sure, the candidates they'd see in the database are those eager, proactive and determined as our jobseeker members are the lot that actually does something to land a job.

By giving them these advantages, we attract more employer membership. This benefits jobseekers in turn, because more employer members only mean more job ads. It's a win-win deal for all.

It's cool to be fair.

BREAK FREE

I've been telling you guys about how innovative our project is going to be, but I really haven't talked about the meat of it yet, have I? There's just so much to talk about and I guess all I really have to do is lay down the cards one by one.

So here's one of the most important ones;

The Revolution.

When this concept was introduced to me, my boss didn't just talk about making recruitment global. See, changing the world requires a lot. So what really makes this concept unique? It gives jobseekers the power to take charge of their careers.

One of the first things my boss asked me during the interview was, "Are you looking for a job?"

"Yes. That's why I'm here."

"No you're not," he said.

Then he added, "How do you go about looking for a job? You scan the papers, browse job search sites and send your applications to the job posts, correct?"

"Yes."

"See! You're not looking for a job. You're just waiting for employers to advertise job vacancies. You are not making any initiative to let them know you exist! You're not looking for a job, you're just waiting for them to be advertised."

When you think about it, it's true. Since time immemorial, most of us jobseekers are left waiting for job ads and postings on the newspapers, magazines, the Internet, etc. Only a few (usually fresh graduates) really go out of their way to do walk-in applications; scour cities, tightly clutching portfolios in hand, to look for a job. This is why, most of the time it takes weeks, months (or if you're really unlucky, years) before you actually get a job, and it may not even be the one you're really vying for.

Now, we're trying to change this system with this revolutionary job search site. Because employment is a two-way system, we're getting you involved in the process. Instead of keeping you waiting, we let you do something about getting that dream job of yours. We let you advertise yourself; let the world know about who you are and what you can do.

"But I'm already doing that when I post my resume on job search sites," you say? No you're not. Read the Terms of Use of the job search site you have in mind, because ours is the only job search site which gives employers unlimited FREE access to your full profile. With this site, you advertise yourself in the truest sense.

Unlike other job search sites, our site does not sell your profile/resume to employers who wish to view them. Ours openly showcase your skills and qualifications online (of course you still control the privacy settings of your account). And because our database is global, employers, both in your country and from around the world, can view your skills and qualifications online.

By advertising yourself in the global employment market, you take charge of your career. You let employers see you while you efficiently search for opportunities yourself.

In these trying times, when competition is way too tight, we all need to be proactive, productive and efficient especially when it comes to job hunting. This is the time to stand-out and literally show your determination to get the job you want and open your doors to bigger and better opportunities (be it locally or internationally).

It's time to take charge of your future. It's time to break free!
